It has been a struggle for me to find good restaurants in Houston, TX since I moved here four years ago. We’ve tried so many restaurants some that lived up to their 5-star yelp review and some that left us scratching our heads in confusion. We’ve had our share of disappointed, but we were able to find some staples as well. Well, I am here to help you all not make the same mistakes as me! I’ve come up with what I feel are the best restaurants in Houston, Tx, that I have experienced personally!

Best Coffee Shops in North Houston
$ (Under $10)
3004 Canal St, Houston, TX 77003
This outdoor pub serves some of the best hot dogs that I have ever had. We’ve tried everything from the wild boar to the duck, the wild boar being my favorite! I always get the chef choice with the toppings and he’s/she’s never steered me wrong. Do expect a little bit of a wait when you go.
Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken
1815 Washington Ave, Houston, TX 77007OMG! This chicken is delicious. Gus’s Fried Chicken has the juiciest chicken I have ever had in Houston! If you’re looking for super crispy chicken without being greasy, then this is your place.
$$ ($11-30 per person)
2501 Research Forest Dr, The Woodlands, TX 77381
Bella Green is my favorite restaurant to visit for lunch. It’s a health-conscious, organic restaurant with vegan and plant-based options as well. I always either get the grilled chicken sandwich(pictured below) or the spicy shrimp pasta!
26608 Keith St, Spring, TX 77373
Everyone in Texas has a favorite barbecue place, and mine is Corkscrew! I waited in a two-hour line on the 4th of July one time! (Don’t judge me!) I love the sides just as much as I love the meat options. I always get the moist brisket and the baked bean.
$$$ ($31-60 per person)
Schilleci’s New Orleans Kitchen
9595 Six Pines Dr Ste 1120, The Woodlands, TX 77380
Anytime someone comes into town, and they want a nice dinner, we take them here. The restaurant serves Creole food with decent size portions. I always get a fish dish, but my husband swears by the duck. Do not leave without trying the bread pudding. It’s everything you ever dreamed about!
Broiled Gulf Coast Sampler
3258 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77098
State of Grace is my husband’s and my special places. We go here for most special occasions. If you try anything, try the “Good Breed” Chicken and the Duck Carnitas for Two! The real winner here is the free bread! I love all types of bread, and this one is at the top of my list!
